The iMovie tab for Media Browser shows special 'Preview Files' from GarageBand. These are bounced mixes from your GarageBand Projects.
Apple Loops are special Audio Files. THey are stored in a specific location and can be accessed from GarageBandor Logic. You can use the files in iMovie when you navigate to their location in the system Library. However the specialty about Tempo and Key Matching will not work in iMovie becasue it cannot utilize those features.
