The Ark and the Cross both have the common thread of Salvation. On the Ark there was only one door and one way to be saved from the flood. All who entered the Ark were saved. The Cross is the symbol of the only way of salvation. Jesus paid our debt of sin on the Cross. He is the only door to Salvation. By accepting His sacrifice we are saved from eternal death.
We are building a 110’ Cross in the Southwest corner of the Creation Science Institute property in Adair, Oklahoma. It will be called Cross On the Prairie.
There are many reasons for building the Cross. It represents the salvation message of the Gospel. When you visit this Cross you will be able to see the future plans for the museum. There will be a Visitors Center explaining the vision for the property and the role you can play in this and other exciting future projects.
From the parking lot you will cross over a bridge and come to twelve stones. These stones are a memorial to the deliverance of the Israelites as they crossed over the Jordan River on to dry land. God told them to place twelve stones in a stack so that when their children asked about the stones they would remember to tell their children all of God’s miraculous works. Our stones will be a reminder for us to tell our children of all that God has done for us.
You will move on through the garden area with interactive garden art, such as a chalkboard wall. On this wall you can list a prayer request or the name of a lost loved one, etc. You will leave out of the garden area where the plantings and trees will get sparser.
